Congress & Warehouse District
Converted warehouses and historic Congress Avenue blend nightlife, dining, and downtown living.
About the District
The Congress & Warehouse District combines two of downtown Austin's most distinctive areas. Congress Avenue — known as the Main Street of Texas — anchors the district with its historic buildings, diverse restaurants, and direct sightline to the State Capitol. The adjacent Warehouse District along 4th Street features converted industrial spaces now home to trendy bars, restaurants, and hotels. The neighborhood is known for its vibrant nightlife, LGBTQ-friendly atmosphere, and central location connecting all parts of downtown.
